WHAT STUDENTS SAY

When we were going to Portland, we had some free time in Narita Airport. There were many foreigners speaking in English. I talked to young missionaries from the U.S. who stayed in Japan for two years. Because it was the Christmas holiday, they were going back to the U.S. Even though I talked to them for only a little bit, I felt like I was in the U.S. already. Because it was my first international experience, I had a little anxiety, and I did not know what to expect. However, two weeks were very short to have been with an American family. My host mother was expecting to have a baby soon. So she sometimes felt bad. However, even in that situation, my host-family was very kind, and I had a very good Christmas experience in an American home.
