With an outstanding background as a professional English language instructor and over 3 years of teaching experience, James Herron brings both his passion and his expertise to the classroom, helping you believe & achieve!

 

James Herron received a B.A. in Neurobiology and Neuroscience from Yale University and completed his M.A. in Teaching at the University of St. Thomas. He previously taught science in Hawaii public and private schools, where the majority of his students were EFL and ESL. In addition to teaching Science, Speech, TOEFL, and American Studies courses at St. Mary College, he also teaches a variety of private lessons. In his free time, James is delighted to explore Japan and Japanese culture and is currently studying hard to improve his Japanese skills. He also continues to enjoy exercise and fitness in Japan by practicing kendo and playing in Nagoya’s Sunday baseball league.
