With an outstanding background as a professional English language instructor and over 3 years of teaching experience, Matthew Carasiti brings both his passion and his expertise to the classroom, helping you believe & achieve!

 

Matt Carasiti has a BA in Criminology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a TESOL/TESL/TEFL certification from Oxford Seminars. Mr. Carasiti has taken a liking to human rights law and the criminal justice system, but has decided to travel before settling in his home country. Coming to Japan has been a long time dream for Mr. Carasiti. At the young age of three, he was brain washed by the popular TV cartoon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Ninja Turtles had a lasting impression on him, shifting his goals to coming to and living in Japan. Mr. Carasiti started his teaching career by working for one of the largest English schools in Japan. He has specialized in teaching children through highly dynamic activities. Also, Mr. Carasiti is well versed in many topics and interests, bringing to his classes enriching conversations that will increase student's desire to learn and live. Here at St. Mary College, he teaches various conversation, current events, and criminology courses.  In Mr. Carasiti's spare time, he enjoys practicing aikido, travelling, exercising, studying psychology and history, and reading.
