01

Are there evening and weekend classes available?

Yes. St. Mary offers several course formats to meet the needs of its prospective students. The 1 year intensive course, or English Major Program: Day, Night, Weekend College is a good option for busy adults looking to improve their English skills in their spare time. More information about his program can be found here.

02

Can you test my English level before entering classes?

Yes. Every new student takes a placement test before being assigned to college courses. There are several levels ranging from beginner (CIE) to advanced (AD). If you have succesfully passed STEP2 of the Eiken test, you may be able to attend advanced (AD) classes immediately. You can feel assured that our professional instructors will accurately place you in a level where you will be able to understand the content.

03

Is there a lot of homework assigned every day?

Yes and no. There is homework due in most classes, but it is not so much that it will intrude your daily activities out of school. However, if you would like to take college courses, you can expect that the work load will be equivalent to expected standards of college course work.

04

Do you recommend studying in college in Japan before studying abroad?

Yes. It all depends on how well you have scored on the TOEFL test. Most universities in the United States require a 500-600 ibt score for addmitants.
